Even Utah fans have turned the games into a two day event with completely ute inspired painted campers and trailers. All because of tailgating. Why isn't this happening at BYU?
BYU will never have the same level of enthusiasm for tailgating as other schools for one simple reason--sabbath observance. For most BYU fans, your weekend is Saturday to get all the stuff you want/need to get done, and Sunday is saved for the church stuff. Almost anywhere else, Saturday and Sunday are basically interchangeable, with maybe an hour and a half set aside for your worship meeting. That means you can get the yard work, kids' sports, honey-dos, and scout out your hunt on Sunday after you spend all day Saturday tail-gating. For most BYU fans, choosing to spend all or a good portion of your Saturday tail-gating means all those other things get pushed to weeknights cuz you won't do them on the Sabbath.

Until the church gets much more lenient on sabbath observance (news flash for anyone who hasn't been to an LDS meetingblock over the last 4+ months---they're not getting more lenient), tail-gating at BYU will be a jayvee gameday experience. Still fun, but nowhere near the same level as other places. There's just not enough hours for it in the Mormon weekend.

No, not since going independent, but since Bronco and Anae showed up... ;)

Keep it up wise acres. To suggest there isnt a highercorrelation of injuries to playing tougher, bigger , more athletic teams week in and out, is just as foolish as drawing an absolute 100% correlation that there isnt. It isnt all or nothing. Otherwise why would depth be such a big issue for Utahs rise? The coaches wil tell you that improved depthhas helped tremendously.
Simply quoting THills two injuried vs USU as evidence fr the contrary is anecdotal at best. Maybe ECU didnt cause TMan Hammy injury, maybe it did. His constant need to scramble and get out of the pocket is certainly a relfection of injuries and depth.

If you're trying to prove that injuries have gone up, put up some numbers, do a little research, actually prove something. Otherwise, it's just an opinion. If it's as obvious as you seem to think it is, it should be easy to prove.

Injuries are a part of football and happen to every team is a pretty universally accepted fact. Injuries go up as you play better teams? not so much.

So the injuries are up by playing "tougher, bigger, more athletic teams" like Utah State and East Carolina?

Don't forget Riley Nelson breaking his back against P5 Weber St. How about Nick Kurtz getting injured in Fall ball. Thank you Independence!
