How would you rank BYU's opponents thus far? ...

Post by SenorCougar »

In my opinion, my ranking (from top to bottom) is as follows:

1. West Virginia
2. UCLA
3. Toledo
4. Utah
5. Arizona

I could flip UCLA and Toledo, but feel if those two played, UCLA might prevail. What do others think? How do you rank our past opponents?

I think we'd be 5-0 if we played everyone over again. But Utah has been the best team we've played.

Utah
West Virginia
Toledo
UCLA
Arizona

BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4x
YDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)

If we play UT again healthy AND with Tuiloma back, we win that one

Another interesting thing to think about. Who is most likely to win out and in my opinion that is Toledo. As far as strength of opponents so far I am with Spiff on this.

I'm afraid if we played everyone over again we may end up 1-4.

I'm going:

UCLA
West Virginia
Utah
Toledo
Arizona

Honestly it's hard though because all opponents have been pretty solid and close thus far.

This matches mine exactly. And I'd have us just above Arizona, due to poor defensive depth.

What's nice, is that every team we've lost to has been solid. And BYU was right there in every game. We have no "headscratcher" loss so far.

If BYU starts 3-3 this year, that would be quite the accomplishment...

Agreed. So far, this would be my ranking as well. Hope to see UCLA, Toledo and WVU clean the clocks of their respective conferences.

sorry, the Washington Huskies are going to clean the clocks of the pac12 this year. That is the best Huskies team I have seen since the 91 national champions.
