2:1 assist to turnover ratio. I had read 5'11" tall. Quick, good shooter. Transferred his senior year in high school, had NCAA Clearinghouse issues, bypassed UConn to get into Fordham easier, hurt his wrist there, decided to transfer down a level and play elsewhere. Thought of by some as a bit cocky, which can be good on the court at times, bad off of it.

Looks like a quality pickup when there isn't much available for 2017.

I have heard he can dunk the ball with ease, which is pretty impressive for a guy under 6'

according to an article I read, at one time in HS he had some very good offers: Cal, Clemson, UConn, Memphis, Tennessee, KState, Florida Gulf Coast, Wichita State, among others. The coaching staff has worked hard this off-season to bring in new talent. I think the team will be fine. He is the type of PG that usually gives us fits. Nice to have one of those of our own.

I probably have a bad attitude this morning - but I stopped watching the highlight reel at the 46 second mark where he clapped for the ball, dribbled into a defender and launched a 3 pointer with a hand in his face. It worked, but I'm not sure that what our team really needed last year (and may need this year) is a guy who calls for the ball only to turn and launch a closely guarded 3 early in the shot clock.

Everyone has a bad attitude this offseason. On another site someone was arguing that he sees no way BYU makes the NCAA tournament for the next four years. The thing is, when we had our 1-25 season (1997) it only took 4 years (2001) to get back to the tournament. So by BYU standards, that feeling is extreme. Maybe it feels like we only won one game last year. The reality is, I don't think we're that far off at least from getting back to the tournament. We've replaced some walkon level players with some D1 talent. Granted, we will still be young, but not as young as last year.

I was reading up on him a bit on a prominent BYU fan site and just have to laugh at all the interesting spellings used for his name. The next thing to watch is what happens with Mika and his scholarship slot now--but it appears for the time being that the scholarship spots are full. Also interesting to see if any walk-ons get added.

Looks like he could be a good get. I'm more interested in how quick he is on defense. We have plenty of players that shoot long 3s with defenders in their faces.
