Re: 2019 Schedule
6 wins isn't close to good enough. If that's what we end up with, I'll be disappointed.

Aren't you the same poster who said that this year BYU should have been 10-2 AT A MINIMUM? With that level of expectation be disappointed already.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Yes, that was me. And, yes, we should have gone 10-2 this year. I'm not saying I would expect 10-2 for next season but certainly better than 6-6.Fido wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 2:33 pmAren't you the same poster who said that this year BYU should have been 10-2 AT A MINIMUM? Re: 2019 Schedule
That's still a schedule that can see BYU start 0-8.
Utah is a loss. On the road to an SEC team could easily be a loss. USC at home could be a loss. Washington at home is a loss. Toledo on the road could be a loss. USF on the road could be a loss. Boise at home could be a loss. Utah St on the road could be a loss.
Lose the first few and things could snowball.
The only games I feel confident about in 2019 are Liberty and Idaho St.

Re: 2019 Schedule
6 wins would be a stretch against that schedule, 7 wins would be the high of my expectations. But I thought 8 wins was the high of the expectations for this season, and there was others who thought this team had the talent to win 10 this year

Re: 2019 Schedule
We did have the talent to win 10 games this year. We had the wrong offensive game plan against Cal and NIU. We lost a heart-breaker in Boise and made the wrong second-half defensive adjustments against Utah. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but it's not hard to see how BYU could have hit 10 wins.
Next year is an interesting schedule because you can make a case for 9 wins and a case for 9 losses. A ton of toss-up games. A good team will win at least half of the home games and more than half of the road games. An average team could miss out on 6 wins.
I'm not sure if we will be a good team or an average team next year. IMO, our most urgent position needs are at RB and LB. Hopefully guys on the roster can step up to meet those needs.

Re: 2019 Schedule
I don't see it as just possible that BYU starts 0-8, I see it as probable. Can you see Holmoe negotiating with ESPN with that nonsense going on? I seriously don't see why Sitake hasn't been fired already. This is ridiculous.SpiffCoug wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 2:42 pm That's still a schedule that can see BYU start 0-8.
