[Rumor] Jashire Hardnett has quit the team

Now before you dismiss this as some random guy, he apparently announced Dastrup was transferring a month before the official announcement.

We'll see if there's any truth to this, but if so it's yet another talented player BYU has lost due to mismanagement.

I really liked him as a player. Why were his minutes reduced? Sad to see him not fight to get his minutes back unless he thought he was being treated unfairly.

He was not a great shooter, but he was quick, could penetrate, and played great defense. And 45% for a guard is not bad 25% from 3 is just about average for this team. Is Cannon going to shoot better than those numbers and have the ability to penetrate and play better defense?

Sad comment. How is this Nick's fault? Yep, just blame Nick for everything. In fact, had Nick not left the team in the first place Hardnett never gets a single start here at BYU.

You don't quit on your team in the middle of the season over playing time, IMHO.

My guess is that this is a personality conflict or other non-hoops issues.

Yes, I have thought the same thing. Possible he violated a team rule or maybe the HC or like you suggested maybe him and Rose (or another coach/player) just did not get along.
