@ CSU
If the Rams can beat Utah in SLC, maybe they can give us a game at home in Colorado on Wednesday.

Re: @ CSU
I think the lesson from UNLV is still in their minds, and I'm looking for another Air-Force like game. Lots of ball-sharing and team play. CSU won't know what hit 'em. BYU 88-58

Re: @ CSU
To answer seriously, I think they just don't match up. They aren't as athletic as UNLV and New Mexico, and they aren't really as physical as they need to be to change our game. I think we paly our game the whole time, keeping the pace up, with lots of transition points.Iceman wrote:I'm thinking, no.
I think their victory at Utah says less about them than it does about Utah. CSU is JUST good enough to pull out the victory against teams that take them for granted, but not good enough to stop the onslaught if BYU just shows up.

What's with the fouls? I just got home, and been listening on my way. Even the announcers sounded like it is pretty one sided calling. Also, what did Miles get a T for?

It was Miles as in the CSU coach miles (if you didn't know). But it was for arguing I think? It took place over the commercial break.bigbluepuma wrote:What's with the fouls? The thing I loved about CSU's win @ Utah- They didn't just barely pull out a close one. No, the Rams absolutely pounded the by 15 points! And of course, the swept UNLV this season.Iceman wrote: I think their victory at Utah says less about them than it does about Utah. Re: @ CSU
FurriousCougar was rewarded from on high for his desire to serve a mission with a score of 48 for the game @ CSU (also his 37.0 average is 6th best overall). Congrats winner!
Jimmer is the favorite for another MWC PotW award right now after scoring 36. New Mexico's Hobson wasn't too bad either, going 20-and-10. Too bad Fredette also had 6 turnovers, 4 more than any other Cougar. It was a surprise to see BYU turn the ball over more often than the Rams.
Speaking of double-doubles (though sadly not the Inn-N-Out kind), Noah Hartsock logged his first, scoring 12 points while pulling down 12 rebounds. Yeah!
Charles Abou also grabbed 7 rebounds in just 16 minutes of play.
Jonathan Tavernari had his 1st "cold" game in a while. He was 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and 4-of-4 shooting free throws, but 0-of-4 from shorter distances. He led the game with 4 steals though (Emery was second on the team with 1), and had no personal fouls in 29 minutes of play (the only player logging more than 4 minutes with none- Anderson had 3 fouls in 4 minutes of play!).

Next up: @ Wyoming on Saturday. And despite what craigo claimed, this should NOT be an extremely difficult roadie to win.
