The Glen Falls arena seats 6000. Albany, 10,000. That's why Albany is ahead in the talks. Unfortunately, Disney on Ice has already rented out the arena for that day, and it's the only day that will work for both BYU and Penn State. So they have to buy out the skating princesses for the deal to have a chance.

"Hall said a decision is expected by the end of the week, one way or the other... Hurley said he still expects the game to be played in Albany, though not on the original target date of Dec. 18. Diamond has stayed in touch with BYU officials and said he is still optimistic the Cougars may still play at the Civic Center."

So...

1- Word got out that BYU would play Penn State in Albany, IF they could buy out Disney on Ice on Dec. 18th, and that no other date would work.
2- Disney on Ice could not be bought out.
3- BYU and Penn State may still play in Albany on another date?
4- The Civic Center is still hoping to host the two teams instead, in a smaller arena which will earn both teams less money, but on any date they could dream of.
5- We'll know within 7 days. They could play in Albany on a different day, or in Glen Falls that same day, or not at all if neither the money (arena/location) nor the date can be worked out.

Date is December 8th, 7 days after the road date at Creighton.

The contract will not be signed until Jimmer drops out of the NBA draft.
