1- Utah State isn't I-AA?snoscythe wrote: Going 11-2 with Hall in 2007 was a different animal as well. We don't have any FCS teams on the schedule this year, we aren't opening against a team that is trying to completely reinvent their offense from the past season, and the 2010 TCU, Washington, and FSU teams are all more formidable opponents than anyone on the schedule Hall went 11-2 against.
2- Say we lose to Washington and FSU this year- that's no worse than losing to UCLA and Tulsa in 2007. Except that TCU and Utah should be more difficult to win. 4 losses wouldn't be the end of the world in that scenario, but I think Washington and Utah are winnable. I'd at least like us to split those two games.

Say Hall took 90% of the 2nd-team reps the year before he started. Well, Heaps took 100% of the 1st-team reps last year!QuarterbackU wrote: the reason Hall was so successful his first year going 11-2 is because from the year before we knew he would be THE STARTER. He took 90% of the reps.

Between the dual of Max Hall and Cade Cooper... I could've sworn Cooper took more than just 10% of the reps.Mars wrote:Say Hall took 90% of the 2nd-team reps the year before he started. At least until it was announced Max was the starter. Then that will be the same for this upcoming situation this year.

The two split reps in spring ball, but once Hall was named the starter - at the end of spring and in part due to Cooper's injury - Hall took 90% of the reps in fall camp.BigCougsFan wrote:Between the dual of Max Hall and Cade Cooper... And Heaps taking 100% of the reps with the first team last year don't count - or at least don't matter as much since it was high school reps - which Heaps is no longer playing high school ball.
