The talk wasn't focused on Utah, it was focused on PAC-10 expansion, and there was actually more talk about how and why BYU didn't get an invite than about Utah, sorry.MTM wrote:Uh, huhMars wrote:Exactly. I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

All good posts must come to an end. Only the truly great posts seem to survive.

What Whittingham did would happen at any school across the country even if it isn't an arch-rival player watching. The fact that it was an arch-rival would give him more cause. Nothing classless about it.

Ummm, there are former players from both schools who are in the sports media now and several attend other teams' practices.Eastern wrote:What Whittingham did would happen at any school across the country even if it isn't an arch-rival player watching. Re: Classless to a new level?
Ummm, welcome to college football. Head coaches have the right to, and do, remove anyone from a practice if they feel they need to. I guarantee you that Ohio State would not allow ex-Michigan players to watch closed practices even if they are in "the media". Same for Texas-OU, Florida State-Florida, Auburn-Alabama. Same if it was any other team but much more so for hated rivals.Schmoe wrote:Ummm, there are former players from both schools who are in the sports media now and several attend other teams' practices.Eastern wrote:What Whittingham did would happen at any school across the country even if it isn't an arch-rival player watching. But leave it to BYU fans to play the victim card again over something that happens everywhere.

Re: Classless to a new level?
Who's playing the victim card? No one here is claiming victim status, just people pointing out how paranoid whittingham is and how stupid the situation is. What's so special about day 1 practices anyway ... Are we going to learn their secret warmups?
