QB Carousel

Post by northerncougar »

This thread has nothing to do with Heaps being the guy, Heaps not performing, Lark or Munns being better or worse, etc. etc. This thread is for all those calling for Lark or Munns coming in to see how they do because they can't be worse than what we have now.

If Bronco did that it wouldn't work at all if it was to "see" how they did. If we put Lark or Munns in then one of them has to be the guy from that point on, and Heaps is 2nd string. The QB carousel with Crowton destroyed all the QB's we had. The only thing worse than the two QB situation is the round robin, "seeing" who is best.

If that is what you want, then good luck. Just be careful what you wish for.

I agree with you, northerncougar, until we are no longer bowl eligible. At that point, the games become glorified spring scrimmages with playcalling by a lame duck, IMO. So, if we get to that point, then all positions except Andrew Rich's should be open to competion, even the QB. If we need to use the last three or four games of this season as an audition period for next season so that we don't ever, ever, ever see the two-headed QB debacle again, I am fine with that. BYU simply must name a starting QB coming out of spring ball next year, so whatever that takes, so be it.
