D - has any group underperformed more this year based on expectation? It's close. They can outmatch the smaller teams like SDSU and Wyoming but they have been pathetic against everyone else. Perhaps it's due to playcalling, since our strength is up the middle and off tackle, which has not been run much. Still, this corps has struggled.

B

Simply because when the right scheme is implemented they have been able to overpower the opponent. Jake has enough time to throw - he just isn't making decisions quickly enough yet.

This group is under-utilized this year and really is being poorly managed (I could copy and paste this line into every Bye Week Grades thread....)

C for one reason...
A lot times the Online struggles to open any sort of hole for the RBs. Not always the case but too often I see ZERO space to run through.

Once again, would probably be a B- if we had that option

- They do a pretty good job at protecting Heaps, but have allowed him to be sacked too many times. Granted, some of those times Heaps should have just gotten rid of the ball

- Took them awhile to click this year, but now that they have, they've done a pretty good job at opening holes for the RB's (but typically against weaker defenses)

- WAY too many offsides penalties to be deserving an A

C. Too many penalties this week. And if this is what we get the rest of the year--assuming they have been "refocused", it doesnt look great for an underperforming hyped up group.
Almost a D--for the disappearance act by a supposed All-American candidate and supposed team leader.

The Oline has looked good when Reynolds hasn't been hurt or gimpy, I give them a pretty solid B.
