Something that I would see as a huge benefit to having this kid on the team is his offseason trainer and coach(es) Austin and Payton through Austin. I have to imagine that Austin will train or is training with Dylan now and this summer. What a wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into before he even steps foot onto the practice field.

Good point, I hadn't even thought of that.

I really like the ideas of legacies, I like seeing a family stay a part of the Cougar tradition, and it looks like Dylan is continuing on in the family tradition.

Too bad we won't get this guy. I mean, now that Utah is a BCS team and have a great offensive coach in Norm Chow, I don't see what we can offer this kid that couldn't get at Utah. ;)

Has he committed to BYU or is he shopping? Is this going to be another Coy Detmer situation or do the blood lines run too deep for the Collie family at BYU for him to consider going somewhere else? I hope he can grow another couple of inches.

Bloodlines in the Collier family are deeper than they were in the Detmer family.

We've had pappa Collie, Zack and Austin. Anyone else in the Collie clan?

This made me laugh out loud.... When Utah annouced they were joining the pac 12, a colleague of mine said that the phones at Utah were ringing off the hook.. recruits begging to go there...

I realize that this is a hightlight video.. and so it only shows things he does well.. but also want to chip in my two cents...

Size- seems to have decent height.. and a good frame... maybe a little bigger than Austin?

good hands.. caught some difficult throws... some even in traffic... seemed to have good football game speed... he was able to get separation and at times pull away from the defender...

Physical- I don't ever recall Austin or Zac being this physical.. he pancaked a guy... and then during his runs didn't ever shy away from contact... infact he delivered some good hits...

Hopefully with the family history at BYU we can land him... and with the bro in law or cousin on a mission.. Brett (can't remember his last name) that should help too..

I noticed that after a TD, he was as nonchalant as Jimmer. Reckon this kid can score 50? ;)
