Only 350 or so Americans have run the mile in under 4 minutes. Junior Miles Batty, new record holder at BYU, is one of them.

I love how Jimmer even features in this article. Batty broke the BYU record for the mile or as coach Ed Eyestone said, "You could say he Jimmered the record."

I go for a run now and wonder how I ever run as fast as I did back when I was younger. It's kind of sad and depressing.

When I played lacrosse we never ran just one mile, but my best two mile was just over 12 minutes. I don't know if that's any good, but I know I was in great shape!

My high school senior year the track coach made us go out for cross country, which at the time was two miles. They make me run in the Army. I don't know why. Haven't met a Soldier yet who could outrun a bullet.
