Until I see some football highlights, I think we might want to compare him to Nate Soelberg before we start expecting another Jacobsen.

Anyone know if he is related to Dave Arslanian, former HC at Weber State?

Yes he does. I saw him a picture of him in uniform on Maxpreps.

I hope we don't have another player who's best season is as a true freshman.

Check out YouTube video - National Underclassmen Combine - NUC Boise ID 2011 - Jake Arslanian
He was camp and WR MVP and fastest man. Top schools are Stanford, UCLA and BYU.

The UCLA offer to me is ho-hum. The Stanford offer means something. Stanford gets top talent - lots of really talented kids want to go to Stanford. I think he's the real deal. My only concern is his ability to take Div. 1 pounding. It's a whole new experience in the Bigs. He's plenty fast. If he doesn't have the hands - slide to the Defensive side. He's got the speed to hang w/ fast receivers.

He also mentioned he wants to serve a mission and he will lean towards the school that allows/supports this decision.

UCLA has had many kids serve, and X is serving now. Stanford has as well, including Hill--who just transferred to BYU, and Lloyd. Both schools make some sense because both have allowed kids to serve. Unlike USC or Oregon, which typically tries to talk them out of it. Oregon State is another school with decent mission service.

You sure about Oregon St? They've had some LDS players, but I'm not sure about RMs.
