It seems like we may lose a couple more linemen this offseason--Empey and Tukuafu are the most likely candidates due to their tenure in the program.
But they seem to have a pipeline going as long as there aren't too many misses in there:
Incoming for 2022:
Elia Migao 6-4 320 from Temecula, CA - greyshirt this year
Jake Griffin 6-6 265 from Mesa, AZ - returning from mission
Isaiah Tupou 6-3 315 from Sacramento, CA - returning from mission
2022 Draft Class (not sure if any are mission first):
Peter Falaniko 6-3 305 from St. George, UT
Vae Soifua 6-4 285 from Orem, UT
Talin Togiai 6-6 290 from Rigby, ID
Trevin Ostler 6-5 240 from Bountiful, UT
They keep getting guys with size. Everyone on the current roster except 6-1 Chandler Bird on the practice squad is listed at 6-4 or taller and average weight is 295.
Riley Nelson was talking about how BYU is going after size. they went through that odd go fast go hard phase looking for more athletic lineman but that didn't play to BYU's strengths. So, they've gone back to big hog mollies and it seems to be working out.Statistics: Posted by BroncoBot — Fri Sep 24, 2021 1:08 pm
