LOL there is not a more dysfunctional, lost program in the country right now...
Goldy the Gopher looks around the room and raises his hand with a sheepish grin.

The way this team is currently playing 5-7 would be an amazing turn around.
I completely agree. If we can turn it around and have a wining record the rest of this season, that would give us a lot of confidence going into next year. 5-7 would prove that we are really rebuilding (i.e training new talent), instead of sucking (having no talent).

If these young freshmen can prove they are as talented as we all thought and hope they are, then we have a lot to be excited about in 2-3 years. Think about all that young talent: Jake, Josh, Ross, Cody, and the tight ends, as upper-clansmen, we could be nasty! Going 5-7 would prove that they will be the guys, given the time and experience.

Plus, Utah has had one of the softest schedules in the country to date (while BYU has played on the hardest).

So, 2-10 would be fine, if No. 2 was Utah. Although I would prefer 6-6 with the bowl qualifying win being at SLC.

WE don't need to do anything. Players need to start playing like D1 athletes and making plays. They just aren't getting it done. All you and I can do is watch and post on this forum.
Agreed. I understand the initial venting, but if all there is to say this season is "we suck, and ________ should be held most responsible," then this board seems reduced to the Sisyphean pursuit of determining what changes need to be made, and then having zero power to actually implement said changes. (And that's not a knock on the board, maybe that really IS all there is to say. I just don't need to hear it in 25-40 variations on the same thread.)

I'm bummed that BYU sucks this year, but I'm not going to get angry over something beyond my sphere of influence. (Although frankly, that's probably influenced by the fact that I'm more frustrated with the players than the coaches. I can understand a fan who feels that, with enough clamor, administrative changes can be made.)
Sisyphean!?! Todd is that you?
