Re: BYU's offense compared to Wisconsin's Offense
No, the cool part of this game is that the following playmakers on Wisconsin's offense that torched the Cougars today will still be there in 2 years: QB 12 Alex Hornibrook Soph RB 23 Jonathan Taylor Freshman WR 87 Quintez Cephus Soph WR 6 Danny Davis III Freshman O-line: no seniors but 4 freshman a...

Re: The real problem no one is talking about
I'm not sure why people are saying that the offensive line is talented. Just because you are a returning starter and you sucked last year, that doesn't make you talented. I would have been happier if we didn't return anyone not named Tejan to starter on the line. I have seen no evidence of them bei...

Re: Preview Wisconsin 2017
Hopefully 2 losses for Bucky--this is the Gophers' year to end the streak. Just like Utah's been in BYU's head since the blocked FG in 2010, Bucky's been in the Gophers' head since this blocked punt in the 2005 Axe game. Also, for this game I was sitting in the end zone stands shocked at what was ha...

Re: Taysom Hill to Packers as UDFA
Not meant as a slight on either player, but if Brandon Doman can stick on a roster, then Taysom Hill can. Hill is bigger, faster, and stronger than Doman but with a less accurate arm and both QBs went to West Coast Offense teams. I'm guessing the main thing that kept Hill from being a later round pi...

Re: Minnesota's boycott
Gopher fan here--I'm pretty surprised about the stance the football players are taking, especially give the progressive nature of Minnesotans in general and the University in particular. The optics of this are terrible and reading the statements by the players, they know this. Something about this w...

Re: Was Taysom Hill the reason we didn't have a 100 yard receiver this year?
the receivers have to get open and catch the ball for our passing game to improve. I guess we'll get to test the theories that (1) Tanner makes better reads, (1) Tanner throws a more accurate ball, and (3) Tanner's more accurate throws are more catchable. With luck, the bowl game will provide ample...

Re: New Series Announced
Nice--I'm an adopted Gopher b/c of my graduate studies. This is just the type of team BYU needs to play--they are generally decent enough to be a respectable win, but not good enough that BYU wouldn't be facing at least even odds playing them. The more important thing is it allows BYU to build their...

Re: Time to start thinking about the future?
If I'm a recruit, I'm scratching BYU off my list. No commitment. Benching Jamaal, as well, and playing RB Canada? Somehow this idea has the stench of a dump Taysom and play Tanner dispute. What would Lavell do? Ask Bosco or Young. Lavell was a man of commitment, and I believe this coaching staff is...

Re: Time to start thinking about the future?
My vote is Taysom 3 quarters against the last four teams (and probably only 1 half against SUU) and keep the offense open for the remainder of the games for future QB developments. These are our "early season" games for next year with respect to team development I know the seniors on the ...
