Re: Football and Title IX Bring Baylor to its Knees
I was an undergrad at BYU when Title IX became the law. If the federal bureaucrats have their way, Title IX could jeopardize more than sports. The feds said BYU was subject to Title IX because it received federal aid. BYU said it did not. It agreed that it did some contract work for the federal gove...

Re: BYU is the best football team in Utah
I was referring to the fact we don't play them this year. You must be among the five percent.

Too bad we won't have the chance to show it on the field this year.

True fandom
I saw a car while running an errand today. It sported Ute flags on either side, proudly waiving as it motored down the road. It also featured a University of Utah license plate, with a bright red U. As a Utah citizen and taxpayer, I'm always glad to see my State's colleges and universities supported...

Re: Was there a single season where Heaps was the best QB?
All football players, or athletes for that matter, reach a point where it's time to move on to something else. Maybe that point in time has arrived for Heaps. I wish him well in his life after football.

Re: Riley was 65%?!!!
I am at the point where I can say that I wish Riley never transferred to BYU. I'm ready to pay one of the UH players to take Riley's @$$ out for good. Riley is the most selfish SOB on the team. Bronco and Doman are probably the dumbest coaches in college football today with their decision making. G...

Re: Sometimes the truth hurts
To ttw Representing the church does not preclude you from being the best or winning big games. False dichotomy not found in the article. There is a difference between being a consistent contender for the national championship and being considered among the best programs and winning big games. I disa...

Re: Others to follow Jake out?
I hope Travis Uale, and every other departing senior, has the opportunity to transfer to the next level, if they want to. As for underclassmen who decide to leave, remember, once you're a Cougar, you will always be a Cougar. Thanks for your contribution, I wish you the best. I welcome the new Cougar...

Re: What are you biggest sporting regrets?
Not being able to support the football team by playing or donating. I lack, among other things, the necessary size, both physically and financially. Would it spoil some vast, eternal plan . . . ?

Re: Learn Orig Lyrics To The Tune Utah "Borrowed" For Fight
I first learned the Solomon Levi lyrics while in elementary school. It's interesting for me to relate the Utes to a song about a Jewish tailor.
