Re: Hawaii bowl
Absolutely pathetic. Easy throw on 3rd and 2 to win it and underthrown by Wilson. Terrible playcalling in the 4th quarter. Terrible prevent defense gave up 60 yards in 2 plays with under 2 minutes left. Terrible INT to end the game.
We've been bad or average for 3 years running now.

Re: Hawaii bowl
That field goal went right over the upright. Now they've just randomly took 10 points off the board for BYU in the second half.

Re: Hawaii bowl
Toss sweeps and slow developing fullback dives on the 5-yard line don't work, fellas.

Re: Hawaii bowl
That supposed fumble on the goal line was clearly a TD. Complete robbery of 7 points by the ref who had a great angle and by ESPN who apparently doesn't have goal-line cameras present.

Re: AP #20
The polls are treating BYU like a P5 school with some tradition, which is great. As others have said, Washington will either validate the ranking or prove that we are way overhyped. Exactly, but we've never seen this before. How many times have we lamented the lack of consideration that is given th...

This is the shortest game thread I've ever seen, by a mile. We've all checked out.

Re: 1-4 with no end in sight
Also, did I read somewhere the team took a week off? psssshhhhh. WTH? At the very least Detmer should have been taking a lot of snaps the last 2 weeks in preparation of Hoge potentially going down. I thought Detmer's arm strength looked really questionable. He had to give it everything he had on si...

Re: 1-4 with no end in sight
I thought the team took big steps forward offensively and that we would have won the game going away if not for the Hoge (and Mangum) injuries.
However, the lack of WR and RB talent limits us and we cannot compete with top 25 teams this year, even with healthy QBs.

Re: Byu USU game thread
This might sound disrespectful to USU fans, but I think BYU would have won the game going away if not for the injuries to both Tanner and Hoge. We looked like the better team even with an injured Hoge in there, and he was really limited. On the other hand, BYU's defense lost focus and could have kep...
