Re: Elder Nielson
When Gary Sheide was a senior, he led BYU to its first bowl game. You have to remember that there weren't very many bowl games in those days (1974), and it was only the fourth Fiesta Bowl, which was created to give the WAC a chance at a bowl game (in those days, it was an earier version of the MWC s...

Re: Lady Soccer 2012 in NCAAs 1 seed
Great game by the Cougar ladies tonight, but I hate the PK shootout. Still, they move on. Question: Since the NCAA championship is scheduled for a Sunday, what happens if we advance to that game?

Re: BYU vs Iona - play in for a 14 seed.
He said he is leaving after the first game to go back to DC. He will not watch our game or allow them to talk about Romney's alma mater team. True, but the tickets are sold for both games (doubleheader), so once the President decided to go, my guess is that tickets became impossible to get. They do...

Re: BYU vs Iona - play in for a 14 seed.
Anyone know how long it took to sell out for the BYU/Iona game? I went on a couple of hours after the brackets were announced to look at tickets and they only have tickets available for the Wed games. It probably doesn't help that the President is going to be at the Tuesday games with the British PM.

Re: BYU vs Iona - play in for a 14 seed.
BYU's true seed was a 48 which equates to a 12 seed but we end up getting hosed with a 14 seed What does "true seed" mean? BYU had an RPI of 42 this morning (11 seed). This year, the committee released the seeds 1-68. While BYU was 48th, Iona was actually 50th. Because of that, it seems t...

Re: At-Large Talk-Friday
Here's what SI's Glockner said about an hour ago:
"The Cougars, amazingly, may benefit from this week's carnage. Once left for bracket dead, the Cougars may scrape into the dance despite a fairly unimpressive profile."
He has BYU as a 12 seed playing Vanderbilt in Albuquerque.

Re: March Madness Seeding Predictions
I really don't see us getting in unless we win the first game and then beat Gonzaga. Two reasons: Lack of good wins and Hartsock's injury. Beating Gonzaga on a neutral court would be the good win that would put us in, even if we were to go on and lose to SM in the finals. Losing the first game would...

Conference Tournament Format
What is the tournament format of the WCC tournament? I live in Ohio Valley Conference land (Murray State is OVC), and last year they completely altered their tournament to a very interesting format. There are 11 teams in the conference. Of those, the top 8 regular season finishers qualify for the to...

Re: Our opponents to date
I would say Utah State's loss to Auburn was better than any of the victories by our opponents.SpiffCoug wrote:Is Utah's win over Pitt the best victory by any of our opponents?
