Re: Troy Game 2020
BYU destroys another decent team. Second string is in.
Makes you wonder how they'd have done this year against the original schedule. Hopefully we can get Army, Boise State, and maybe one more P5 game and have enough to show the team deserves something decent in the post-season.

Re: Rooting Guide Week 3 2020
Navy beat Tulane 27-24 today in a big comeback. Not a huge win, but enough to make BYU's victory look a little more legit.

Re: BYU Switching to 4-2-5 Defense
....and now we're opening the season with the new defense against a triple-option team. Not a good scheme matchup for BYU. I'm sure you likely know better, but from what I've read in the past about TCU's version of the 4-2-5, it can be good against option attacks because of the defensive speed to t...

Re: BYU fan questions institution's commitment to big time--but what about them?
Haven't seen it really mentioned, but the biggest problem with staying in the MWC was the inability to watch games on TV. That's what fans need and it also happens to be one of the main reasons for the team's existence (exposure). With their latest TV contract, BSU (even with their bonus money MWC d...

Re: KSL's Way too early look at BYU's 2020 schedule
This is watching the last two games talking, but after they start 0-6, will they still have enough spirit to beat the FCS teams at the end of the season?

Re: Hawaii bowl
I sure have lots of questions. Like: 1. How come ESPN doesn't have a single camera lined up with the goal line, let alone one from each side? Isn't that a requirement in the contract somewhere? Sheesh... 2. Why are the defensive coaches only able to make one adjustment per game, at halftime? The off...

Re: San Diego State game thread
BYU's defense could've picked up some turnovers, but they played well enough to win this game. The offense gifting SDSU turnovers didn't help. The drop-8 defense calls gave SDSU the time to make big plays many times. SDSU's defense was helped out quite a bit by PI non-calls. They were also helped by...

Re: BYU-UMass summary thread
Summary for those who couldn't watch the game: First drive was nothing. After that, Wilson was decent (only because of the lousy defense not making him do much), and pretty much everything on the offense was working (Allgeier and Katoa ran consistently, Shumway, Katoa, and others had some good recep...
