Hall MWC Player of the Week

Post by hawkwing »

From the news feed:
Hall passed for 346 yards (completing 27 of 39 attempts) and rushed for another 47 (on 14 carries). He threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. For the second straight game, Hall did not throw an interception.

Hall accounted for 393 yards of offense and four touchdowns in BYU's win at San Diego State. The senior quarterback scored his rushing touchdown as time expired in the first half to give BYU a seven-point lead at the break. Hall connected on two touchdown passes on key third-down plays in the second half to keep the Cougars in front, helping BYU convert 15-of-21 third-down plays in the game overall. The Mesa, Ariz., native spread the ball around to nine different receivers and did not throw an interception for the second straight game.

This is the seventh MWC player of the week award for Hall and third honor this season.
Great couple of weeks for Hall. I hope he keeps it up, if we beat TCU this weekend it should be another PotW award for him. Sno makes a great point about how when things work the QB is a genius, and when they don't, he's a goat. We'll, here's hoping we continue to see him as a genius.

Being the goat or the hero is the nature of the beast when being a QB at BYU

I did think Hall had an exceptional game this week. And the more he runs, the more opposing defenses will have to adjust to account for what harm he can do with his legs.
