BYU/TCU Game

Post by Gunk »

Not looking too good guys. Mid way through the 2nd quarter and we're down two touchdowns. Defense seems to be stepping up a bit, but the offense is horrible. Not impressed with the play calling at all on offense.

I take that back. TCU's offense is having their way with us.

Chambers just needs to wave the catches off. That was close.

This is an interesting thing I found out. I was checking wikipedia to do a little refresher on the halftime studio crew of Christian Fauria and Roland Williams, both were tight ends in college and the pros, but I discovered Roland Williams demonstrated chiasmus in his NFL career, he played for St. Louis, the Oakland, then Tampa Bay, the back to Oakland and finally ending with St. Louis.

I knew instantly that meant GAME OVER. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Anae has never won a game where we went down 14+ points.

Didn't BYU come back against New Mexico down 2+ touchdowns Bronco's 1st or second year? Seems the exception rather than the rule, unfortunately.

BYU was down 11 points in the 3rd quarter, 13-24, and scored two 4th quarter TDs to win 27-24. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=252810167

That may be Anae's biggest comeback win ever, in 5 years as the BYU OC. Good thing we like to give the ball to our opponent first. Real smart. Speaking of which, we scored 0 points in the 3rd quarter when receiving the ball first after halftime again this game...
