That’s an incredible increase in votes. At one point Penn State was winning, which would have been a travesty. Their mascot does not appear to be impressive.

Remember, Cosmo was originally left off of this poll entirely. And then after the entire world, include several national sports writers said, hey wait a minute, you know Cosmo can dunk from the 3 point line, is an all star dancer, and has set several world records for mascot related feats of strength and agility, they laughed and said, okay, we'll let him in as a play-in for the 16 seed, thinking he would lose immediately. Well, he won. And he kept on winning. And now we are going to take him all the way to the finals, with your vote.
