I don't remember a BYU QB that I watched live that could have done what he did, and that includes Max Hall and John Beck. I don't care what competition level we are playing. Last year LA Tech went 10-3 and Navy was top 25 so it isn't like we are playing a bunch of weber state teams. This schedule is weaker than we have been used to but this team is destroying it which is what you expect a good team to do.
Funny you mention Beck here. Obviously John's coaching of Zach in the offseason was not insignificant. I thought that :37 second drive was totally a throwback of John Beck in the final drive at Rice-Eccles! But now that you mention it, you're right, Zach looked even better!
Well, the utes had a better defense than La Tech had but Seriously, 80 yards, 3 or 4 plays(can't fully remember). He used a scalpel on that defense and carved it like a surgeon.

I believe it was 5 plays. A first down QB scramble, then 4 straight completed passes, 3 for first downs, then the laser TD pass across the field to Romney. I've never seen anything like it. Every play went for either a first down or a touchdown on that drive. Most efficient multi-play 2-minute drill I think I've ever seen.
