He has had a pretty rough injury history. This is what I was able to glean from a few articles including this one. https://www.mlive.com/sports/2019/08/fo ... -utah.html

HS class of 2015. Committed to Michigan State and went on a mission first. While serving his mission, he aggravated a previous knee injury and had surgery on his PCL and MCL in July 2015. He received an honorable release from his mission, allowing him to enroll at Michigan State in January 2016 and rehab the injury.

He joined Michigan State as defensive end, took a redshirt as a true freshman. He switched to tight end and then made his college debut in 2017 at defensive tackle in a Nov. 4, 2017 win against Penn State. The following week, he suffered a season-ending ACL and MCL injury in a loss at Ohio State.

In his third season at Michigan State, he dressed for seven games but never played and never recorded a statistic during his career with the Spartans.

He transferred to Utah as a grad transfer walk-on for the 2019 season. In 2019 he played in 2 games (Idaho State and UCLA). He did not make an appearance in 2020 in Utah's covid-shortened season.

As the weirdest thing I could find, he was listed on the 2019 Utah roster at 6-6, 282 pounds. Last year he was listed at 6-6, 255 pounds--which is what he is also listed at in the KSL story about coming to BYU. Losing 27 pounds in a single year? https://utahutes.com/sports/football/ro ... hunt/10689 See Historical tab.

He is coming in as a grad-transfer covid-exception extra year so he won't count against the scholarship count and is likely a walk-on anyhow. Let's see if that knee has anything left.

He was DL in 2019 and in 2020 he was moved to the other side of the ball as a TE (I don't believe he even seen any PT in 2020).
