It worked this year because BYU's offense scored, pretty much, everytime they had the ball. Lets see what happens now that Zach Wilson is in the NFL. I am still not sold.

This may have some truth to it. One of the more prominent 3-man-front defenses I can remember were the Colts defenses during Peyton Manning's tenure. When Peyton and the offense jumped out to a quick lead, the defense did great. When the offense bogged down or they found themselves playing from behind, suddenly that great defense had a hard time getting off the field and getting the ball back to the offense.
