What am I missing?

I've been thinking about this for a while now, ever since BYU was ranked last or close to last on returning talent by some formula...

Sure BYU lost a lot of key players in underclassmen Zac Wilson, Dax Milne, and Brady Christensen. Plus the Sr's in Tristen Hoge, Chandon Herring, Zac Dawe, Bracken El-Bakri, Khyiris Tonga, Isaiah Kaufusi, Troy Warner, Zayne Anderson, and Chris Wilcox. (in Bold Drafted)

Look at this position by position on O:
QB
Lost
Zac Wilson will be hard to be replaced, but last Fall in was in a QB battle for the starting job with Jaren Hall and Baylor Romney who both have starting experience at BYU (Hall: 1-1 and Romney: 3-0).

Returning
Jaren Hall: Passing 31-46- 420 yards (67.4%), 1 TD, 0 Int's; Rushing 33-143 yards, 3 TD's
Baylor Romney: Passing 78-120- 1,008 yards (65.0%), 8 TD's, 3 Int's; Rushing 31-80 yards, 0 TD's
Jacob Conover: Ran the scout team last season
Sol-Jay Maiava-Peters: Also getting reps during Spring Ball

RB
Lost- None

Returning
Tyler Allgeier: Rush 150-1,130 yards, 13 TD's; Receive 14-174 yards, 0 TD's (Career 176-1,298 yards, 13 TD's; 18-238 yards, 1 TD)
Lopini Katoa: Rush 84-444 yards, 5 TD's; Receive 23-293 yards, 3 TD's (Career 245-1,225 yards, 17 TD's; 67-695 yards, 5 TD's)
Sione Finau: Rush 12-48 yards, 0 TD's; Receive 2-8 yards, 0 TD's (Career 71-407 yards, 2 TD's; 6-37 yards, 0 TD's)
Jackson McChesney: Rush 11-56 yards, 1 TD; Receive 0-0 yards, 0 TD's (Career 36-330 yards, 3 TD's; 2-[-7] yards, 0 TD's)
Miles Davis: Rushing 15-96 yards, 2 TD's; Receiving 4-43 yards, 0 TD's

WR
Lost
Dax Milne, he had a huge year last year with 70-1,1188 yards, 8 TD's (Career 101-1,542 yards, 11 TD's)
But everyone else is returning.

Returning
Gunner Romney: 39-767 yards, 2 TD's (Career 83-1,306 yards, 6 TD's)
Neil Pau'u: 45-603 yards, 4 TD's (Career 77-958 yards, 7 TD's)
Keanu Hill: 4-70 yards, 1 TD (Career 7-110 yards, 1 TD)
Chris Jackson: 6-22 yards, 0 TD's (Career 6-22 yards, 0 TD's)
Kody Epps: 5-47 yards, 0 TD's (Career 5-47 yards, 0 TD's)
Brayden Cosper: 4-36 yards, 0 TD's (Career 4-36 yards, 0 TD's)

Added Transfers
Sr- Samson Nacua: Utah Career 82-1,015 yards, 11 TD's
So- Puka Nacua: Wasshington Career 16-319 yards, 3 TD's

TE/HB
Lost- None

Returning
Isaac Rex: 37-429 yards, 12 TD's (Career 38-452 yards, 12 TD's)
Masen Wake: 8-114 yards, 1 TD (Career 8-114 yards, 1 TD)
Carter Wheat: 4-74 yards, 1 TD (Career 5-82 yards, 1 TD)
** Dallin Holker: 2018 19-235 yards, 1 TD (Career 119-235 yards, 1 TD)

OL
Lost
Brady Christensen: Games Played 12/ 12 Starts (Career Games Played 38/ 38 Starts)
Tristen Hoge: Games Played 8/ 7 Starts (Career Games Played 26/ 25 Starts)
Chandon Herring: Games Played 12/ 11 Starts (Career Games Played 49/ 23 Starts)

Returning
James Empey 6' 4" 303: Games Played 8/ 8 Starts (Career Games Played 34/ 34 Starts)
Clark Barrington 6' 6" 302: Games Played 10/ 10 Starts (Career Games Played 20/ 14 Starts)
Blake Freeland 6' 8" 300: Games Played 11/ 8 Starts (Career Games Played 18/ 15 Starts)
Harris LaChance 6' 8" 310: Games Played 11/ 0 Starts (Career Games Played 28/ 0 Starts)
Joe Tukuafu 6' 4" 301: Games Played 9/ 4 Starts (Career Games Played 13/ 5 Starts)
Connor Pay 6' 5" 300: Games Played 8/ 0 Starts (Career Games Played 8/ 0 Starts)
Keanu Saleapaga 6' 6" 310: Games Played 1/ 0 Starts (Career Games Played 23/ 19 Starts)
Mo Unutoa 6' 5" 290: Games Played 2/ 0 Starts (Career Games Played 2/ 0 Starts)

Keanu started 11 games in 2019 and 8 games in 2018, he could be a very big help in 2021 if healthy. Mo played in the first 2 games of 2020 after transferring in from Utah before season ending injury. I could see BYU starting LT- Blake Freeland, LG- Clark Barrington, C- James Empey, RG- Connor Pay (he stepped up in the Bowl game), and RT- Harris LaChance. Hans Olsen could see BYU have at least 3 of that starting 5 being drafted (Freeland, Barrington, and Empey).

Other OL men I will be interested in is Campbell Barrington 6' 6" 280 (Clark's little brother, higher rated coming out of High School), who I believe grey shirted last year (hopefully is is now 290+). Elia Migao 6' 3" 320 out of Temecula, California and Dylan Rollins 6' 6" 285 out of Missoula, Montana (said to be one the best recruits to come out of Montana in the last decade, has a mean streak to him).

Fr- Jakob Robinson 5' 10" 165: Utah St 4 game stats last year as a true freshman: 8 tackles, 1.0 tfl (6 yards), 1.0 sack (6 yards)

DL- should keep rolling and could even have more help from RM's and recruits.

LB- are loaded with all kinds of young experienced players that should play even better this year.

DB- IMHO, the question mark could be at safety; Chaz Ah You will start at 1 and many feel that Malik Moore will be the other starting safety. but depth maybe a little sketchy... Just like last year when Ah You and Moore were out with injury. Not much depth behind Anderson and Warner. Heck walk-on Jared Kapisi started against Boise St, when Anderson was not able to play that game. So a question will be, will some of BYU's CBs be cross-trainer at safety or even moved over? Does Ammon Hannemann 6' 1" 205 come back strong (was out last year, I believe do to injury) and make a push for playing time at either safety spot?
