Navigate Research, the consulting firm that advises pro and college leagues on media rights, thinks that the new format could bring in as much as $2B in total annual revenue.
Everyone will become richer but especially the P5 conferences. Projections for each of them is to receive upward of $300M annually.

My concern is the top ranked teams will get in and it will be determined by that committee again not computers.

So it will generate a ton of money. 1/12 of which will go to the G5, 7/12 to the P5s not named SEC and 1/3 to the SEC (they will get half of the at large bids). And they will congratulate themselves for including the G5s.

So, BYU's only path to the playoff is a #12 ranking or better -- based on recent years, I think they would have to be #8 or higher.
