Thanks for the info. I haven't paid attention to golf and tennis in a long time so I'm surprised they're ranked so low.

I think it is more of the Big12 being strong in those sports.

WOW....1280 the zone interview with Brett McMurphy and he is saying that BYU WILL be invited to the Big 12 and they are trying to determine how quickly they can do so. The teams leaving the AAC will need to give 27 month notice but BYU could join as soon as they can make it happen. And BYU will be joining for ALL SPORTS, not football only.

BYU, Cincinnati, Houston & UCF are Big 12’s expansion choices & league could extend invites this month, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. BYU could join next season, a year or so before others. Also, all 4 could join before OU/Texas leave for SEC, source said

What might happen is football joins for next season and the other sports come a year or two later. Their would be an incentive to schedule OOC against the Big12.

UCF, UH, BYU & Cincy expected to apply for Big 12 membership next week & league presidents have the votes to admit them next Friday, sources tell me & @ByPatForde.

Plan is to join in 2023, conceivably before OU & Texas leave, to create a 14-team league.

1) Even though it appears to be a done deal, I'll believe it when all the papers are signed and the deal is done.

2) It's only as good as long as the Big 12 can hold it together. Sooner or later, the Big 10 and PAC 12 will try to poach its teams.

Maybe PAC12 will poach us to help save them.

Obviously I was wrong, the Big 12 with it's expansion is now a step ahead of the Pac12, still behind the Big10, ACC, and the SEC, but a tremendous conference in it's own right.
