That's correct. Hall gets a lot of credit for a lot of things including this fumble recovery but he and the rest of the team had given up on the play. Not Tyler. I say it again, it was a good day when Tyler Allgeier came to play football for BYU.

I disagree. Hall was right there, and only let up when it was clear that Allgier was going to take him down. And had he kept sprinting, he would have overrun the play and not have been in position to recover the fumble. Two thumbs up for Allgier, and one for Hall.

one of the biggest benefits of that play was that BYU had just eaten some time off the clock, then went about 60 yards the wrong direction, picked up a first down and proceeded to eat up another 4 minutes of clock. BYU was getting killed in TOP. ASU repeatedly shot themselves in the foot.
