Funny how St Mary's changes from a Tier 1 game first time around to a Tier 2 game later on in the schedule. Is that just a typo or do they drop after losing to us?

That is because of the home/away difference. The Tiers or Quadrants go like this:

Quadrant | Home | Neutral | Away
1 | 1-30 | 1-50 | 1-75
2 | 31-75| 51-100 | 76-135
3 | 76-160 | 101-200 | 136-240
4 | 161+ | 201+ | 241+

So the first Saint Mary's game is an away game so at #35 they are tier 1 but when we play them at home #35 is only good enough for a tier 2.

Dang, they have thought of everything. Now I feel dumb.

But SMC is playing themselves out of tier 1 and maybe even tier 2 at the present.

Here is an updated view of our tourney profile. The Maui tournament gave us wins against quadrant 3 and 2 teams and a loss against a quadrant 1 team.

Those losses against BSU and SDSU could come back to really hurt us.

We need a win against USU and SMC. Can't drop anymore 2s.

Goin off of the NET Quadrant records I think we are looking ok. I know RPI doesn't mean as much anymore but hey we are #19 in that and have the #4 SOS. If we can split Gonzaga and St. Mary's going 2-2 and have maybe 1 other conference loss I think we can stand a chance as an at large bid.

I don't understand still why Lunardi's latest projection still has us as a 12 in a play-in game. I asked this before, but do we have a sign on our back that says "please let us play in a play-in game"? I just don't understand it because in that same projected slate, it has USU, who we beat Saturday, as an #8 seed.

Honestly, I still don't understand how you have teams ranked higher than a 15-16, and have them involved in ANY play-in game. If they have a worse ranking, then they should be in the play-in game. I guess I'm just too logical and I don't do stupid very well.
