Ah man I really liked him and thought that he could get in the regular rotation next season.

I liked him too! I saw him competing for significant minutes next season.

He shot 4 for 7 and 1 for 2 for 3pt for the season. Very small sample size.

Re: Blaze Nield, we hardly knew you
Very small sample size. But he looked like someone worth keeping around to progress. He played a position that was going to be wide open for the taking next year.
Here are the guards on next year's team and their year:
Alex Barcello, SR
Jesse Wade, JR (I doubt he's ever healthy enough to help BYU)
Cameron Pearson, SO
Trevin Knell, SO
Connor Harding, JR
Of those, Harding, Knell, and Wade are more shooting than point guards. Barcello can easily swap between the point and shooting. There would have been all kinds of opportunities for Blaze to be the primary PG backup and play a good 15-20 minutes a night with multiple starts likely as well.

PG makes me nervous next season. I suspect Barcello will get the starting roll. But we really could use another PG.

Re: Blaze Nield, we hardly knew you
I really wouldn't mind someone pushing barcelo for minutes. AB was good. Knows his limits. But I'd like to see more of a threat on offense, maybe more of a passer as well.
