I think we need to remember that for most of our WCC conference-mates, this basketball season is their first real-world experience of managing COVD-protocols and testing.

BYU's had the benefit of going through a football season and working out kinks. All hoops had to do was scale that down that more proven process.

These other schools are going to struggle through January to get their feet under them.

Mark Pope has tweeted that there is a replacement game in the works.

There has to be someone out there willing to play. Some Q2 team at least.

I'm still shocked that it has been THIS hard for the teams not named Gonzaga and BYU to navigate the COVID highways. This has been going on for 2 months now. Most of the WCC can't seem to get their hands around this pandemic and yet the 2 top teams seems to have figured it out. Maybe it's just because they're not in California and it's just that bad in California. I had figured a few early conference season games, but this many weeks of it has been IMHO ridiculous.

I think some teams are hiding behind COVID. We've had 10 games scheduled against schools in CA and 5 of them have been postponed.
