That was a really fun game to watch, and it's nice to see Gideon coming into his own.

Re: Gideon George Outrebounds Entire Portland Team By Himself In Win
My adult son that lives at my home went by me yesterday and I told him how BYU had blown the BB game. He questioned, "They lost?" "No", I said, "They just blew the whole offense on the lowly Pilots and now they'll have nothing for the Zags."
Still, the confidence shouldn't hurt them and if they get the ball to fall as it did against Portland, then they have a slim chance.
As far as Gideon goes, it was great to see him break out like that. I would surely leave him in the lineup against Gonzaga. I like his play as he's very athletic. On Thursday night, the balls were falling right, but as we know, consistency is one of the toughest attributes this team has yet to accomplish. Lots of individuals that have really good games, but then don't follow it up with another. It's good to have Gideon and I hope he breaks that tendency and starts shooting double digits each and every game. Thursday night, Portland couldn't focus on any of the Cougars as it's been a lllooonnnnggggg time since BYU has had all 5 starters and 1 off the bench all have double-digit scoring.

Re: Gideon George Outrebounds Entire Portland Team By Himself In Win
Correction to my last thread. We did have all 5 starters and one off-the-bench in double figures vs. VA Tech last season.
This season we have already had more games with 4 players minimum in double figures than all of last season. The difference was that quite often last year, every game there was one individual scoring in the 20's. This team is quite different from it's predecessor.

I hope George continues to get more minutes. He's going to be good. I think there is more upside with him starting over Knell.
