BSU
This could get very interesting. A one loss BSU is ranked higher than undefeated Houston, and would therefore get the automatic bid ahead of Houston. I think that's fine, they are a better team than those other Cougars.

Re: BSU
I've been reading that in several places. The stipulation is that the top non BCS league champion makes bcs if in top 12. BSU only chance would be to get picked as an at large, or hope for TCU to lose their last couple games.Dcr36 wrote:If I'm not mistaken, the BCS rules also require the higher ranked team to win its conference. Can someone clarify?

Re: BSU
I would like to see Houston make it for the sake of getting a non-AQ in there, they've been picking up momentum and playing much better than they did early on in the season.

I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,

Re: BSU
I'm not convinced that BSU wouldn't get an at large.
There are 10 spots for the BCS. 6 AQ + the nonAQ at large which is presumably Houston, take up the first 7 spots.
The Big 12 and the SEC will max out their two team limit. That makes 9 out of the 10 spots filled.
Who's after that? The ACC and BIg 10 will not likely have 2 teams selected. That leaves Stanford and Boise State.
If Stanford loses to Notre Dame and/or Cal, would you rather take a 10-2 Stanford with an apathetic fan base and tv ratings? Or BSU who played in the highest rated regular season game on cable?
A bowl could select BSU over Stanford.

Re: BSU
BSU finishing above undefeated Houston would be interesting.
Houston then making the BCS and BSU not would also be interesting.
Houston probably draws an Oklahoma/Stanford/Alabama/Oregon type team and gets killed though.

Re: BSU
I don't think there will be any non-aq teams in the BCS this year. TCU won't lose again and Houston has their three toughest games of the year coming up. I doubt they'll go undefeated.

Re: BSU
This was byu's year to get an at large bid. had they won out they would be in top ten without notre dame to worry about. would have had a very good shot.

Re: BSU
I don't think SMU will give them much trouble. But playing @Tulsa should be a great game. Both teams will be up for it. Tulsa may be ranked by then too.jvquarterback wrote:I don't think there will be any non-aq teams in the BCS this year. Re: BSU
I'd love to play a team that wants to throw the ball everywhere. We have a very good pass defense.
