No foul on Cyphers injury play?
Does anyone know why no foul was called on BYU for that play? I don't remember which player made contact with Cyphers, but I thought for sure there'd be a foul call and I was surprised when there wasn't.

Carlino was the closest to him but never touched him from what I could tell. Cyphers was just going too fast to the rim. Just an unfortunate play.

Uh, because Carlino didn't touch him at all...
He fell into Carlino, after the dunk.
When dunking, it is a bad idea to let go of the rim when your hands are on an even plain with your feet. He was out of control and bounced off of Carlino on the way down.
If you wanted a foul, you'd better give it to "gravity" on that one.
Just because someone gets hurt doesn't mean that a foul happnened

I didn't want a foul, but I only saw it live (no replay) and it looked like there was a hard collision (hitting a fast-moving Carlino appeared to be what flipped him on his head in the air).

Looked that way at first but Carlino did an excellent job of going for the ball. No contact by Carlino.Sammich wrote:I didn't want a foul, but I only saw it live (no replay) and it looked like there was a hard collision (hitting a fast-moving Carlino appeared to be what flipped him on his head in the air).
