Emery got called for a push/blocking foul that forced Henderson OOB, this is why he and Tav were kinda shocked when Henderson turned around and baseballed them in the face with the basketball, cause the whistle had already blown and the play was over. Henderson not only looks like a twelve-year-old, he acts like one, too. What a douche.

Emery wasn't called for a technical. He was called for bumping Henderson out of bounds.

Someone asked for Emery's reaction. From Jay Drew's blog:
As mentioned before, Utah officials did not make Henderson available to the media after the game. A Utah spokesperson told me that Henderson had already left the building by the time other Utah players came out of the locker room for interviews.
BYU did make Emery available, and the junior from Alpine basically said he harbored no ill feelings toward Henderson.
“It was just heat of the moment. You know, I know Marshall is a good competitor, a good guy. So nothing against him. But it was just one of those things where it just happened, and the refs took care of it, and there’s not much else to be said about it,” he said.
Asked if Henderson made contact, Emery said:
“You know, he got me a little bit, but you know, we are just going to leave it at that.”
Asked if he was mad at Henderson for throwing the ball at Jonathan Tavernari’s chest, Emery said:
“No. I fouled him, obviously, and he went out of bounds, and he was just continuing to play, and he tried to throw the ball off JT, and I was just trying to, you know, keep the two apart and not escalate anything, and that was about that.”

I saw an end zone view. I don't thik he flopped, and I think he was lucky to not be hurt more. That view showed that the back hand came slightly up, under the nose. Ever been hit like that? It hurts a lot, and can do damage.

The yahoo account was rediculous. It said that Henderson was walking away. He was not. It said that they had to pull JT away from Henderson. He was clearly just escorting H away from Emery at arm's length, and making no aggressive move toward him. The Ref simply came in and took over in a manner to make sure that nothing escalated. It said that the benches cleared. NO BYU pllayer came out, and I am pretty sure that no :utard: s were out except the ones in the game. The players on the floor weren't pushing each other, or even in each other's faces, from anything I saw. As mentioned, it said that ther had to be some kind of special escort for safety. What a load of crap!

Did someone say that Boylen was complaining about a grey suit coming off the bench? The only grey suit out there was off the :utard: bench.

Uuhh, kinda like Max? I guess we'll have to hold this up to the world to show just how terrible every :utard: player, fan, coach, student, teacher and administrater is, how self righteous this makes all of them, and how now, just out of the blue (oh excuuuuse me__out of the red), we'll now have to hate all of them and everything about them. :munch: :munch: :munch:

On a lighter note: What a cool headed young man Jackson Emery is. What a class act. Contrast that to every :utard: response to Max.

Too bad they weren't chanting "classless" after the hit instead of "kick him out". that would have been sweat. especially if you heard it on tv.

did anybody else notice you could here the ute fans on the tv broadcast more than the byu fans?

I think they actually called a personal foul on BYU somewhere during the play before the "incident". Then they called a technical foul on Utah. That is why Utah took two free throws followed by BYU taking two free throws and getting the ball. Had a tech not been called on Utah it would have been Utah's ball because Henderson threw the ball off Emery who was standing out of bounds.

Tavernari didn't do a very good job of sticking up for Emery. Just standing there with your arms out isn't going to intimidate someone else from taking a swing at your team mates. Hafa would have planted Henderson into the second row! (I know, I know, we wouldn't want a BYU player suspended too, or give the Utes something to complain about...)
