Regardless of what one perceives this years SOS to be, had we beaten all teams on our schedule we would have been guaranteed a BCS game. One loss to Utah, Texas or even one loss to UVA and I think we still get into a BCS bowl this year. The scheduling has been setup well to get us to the top tier, we just need to win and it all takes care of itself.

We still have a chance for a 10-3 season with some serious quality wins and a top 25 finish. It's frustrating to watch growing pains from the players, much more frustrating to see a continued lack of game management capability from our coaches, but overall this can still be a successful year (we've already enjoyed some pretty big successes so far).BYULV wrote:Regardless of what one perceives this years SOS to be, had we beaten all teams on our schedule we would have been guaranteed a BCS game. THIS and THAT. Totally agree.

Anae just might be the guy. Wisconsin DC says Anae is totally unpredictable because he just runs a bunch of plays with no rhyme or reason. Whooped Butt on Houston DC for 3 of 4 quarters. Destroyed Texas DC and HC careers.

I had a sociology professor that hated when he walked into the room I was reading the sports page. He asked if I ever read any of the rest of the paper and I said, that at least the sports page tells the truth. (I read box scores, standings, and future matchups)snoscythe wrote:So BCS talk is an expession of our inner Ugly American? Isn't any American football talk a uniquely American expression?
He said it wasn't American of me to only read the sports page. I told him it was probably the most American thing I could do.
He never said another thing to me for that semester.

Re: Quit that stupid BCS talk
We're a better team this year than many teams that have played in BCS games in the past. "BCS-worthy" seems like a dumb adjective.
I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,
