We played them fairly well. I don't remember them being a really big team. Losing KC might not be fatal.

Wow, Gonzaga and BYU got some love from the selection committee - an 8 and a 10 seed... I had the Zags as a 10 seed and BYU as a 12. Cougs are in trouble vs. Oregon, especially without KC. One guy on the selection show thought it was a joke BYU got in.

Anae just might be the guy. Wisconsin DC says Anae is totally unpredictable because he just runs a bunch of plays with no rhyme or reason. Whooped Butt on Houston DC for 3 of 4 quarters. Destroyed Texas DC and HC careers.

Impressive seeding for BYU. This comes from BYU's extremely aggressive non-conference schedule and willingness to play anyone.

Next year, other teams are going to follow what BYU did this year... play a lot (in BYU's case, 9) non-conference games against quality opponents, just win a few of them and you'll get into the tournament, especially if you're a top 50 program or play in a weak conference. The Cougs went 2-7 in the important non-conference games and were rewarded for it.hawkwing wrote:Impressive seeding for BYU.
