just another stop for Jimmer it appears. it's too bad Jimmer can't find a team that actually knows how to leverage his strengths. it's not like step curry is playing amazing defense. but every team (cosch)he has played for is hell bent on keeping him on the bench

He is also scoring 72 points per 48 minutes as a Knick.
He should get more minutes.

Seriously, I hope he gets a legit shot. Doesn't seem like the coach or Carmelo is a fan. What a defunct organization.

Jimmer got a huge applause the other night and Carmelo nor the rest of players probably liked that one bit and either rambis or players decided roughing him up in practice would put him in his place. Horrible organization. I never thought anything would come of it. He should bag the NBA and go make some bucks in Europe while he still can.

The thing is that Carmelo is only going to in a position of power for a few more seasons at most. He may ask to be traded before then.

Rambis is an interim head coach with a horrible head coaching history in the NBA. He isn't going to be around either.

If Jimmer has James Dolan (the owner) and Porzingas as at least neutral he could find a role on the team.

The bigger mystery is that Phil Jackson is usually 'the management' would opt to sign Jimmer. Also why Rambis would go against his mentor? Unless this decision came from Dolan.

The other weird thing is the Knicks have 3 PG's Calderon, Galloway and Grant. Grant is their new draft pick that struggles to get anytime. I can see a logical reason from them to add Jimmer to that mix.

Which is funny, because Jimmer has always been considered strong for the PG position and he's 6'2", not a shorty necesarirly. Not sure where Rambis is coming from. A real coach would try to work with the players he has and make them better. He wouldn't take a brand new player to his team and rip him in the media right after his first practice. Totally classless coaching.

Totally agree with you here. Rambis and Carmelo both sound like some of the biggest classless idiots in the nba.

Jimmer should have held out for a different offer from a different team. He keeps going from inept organization to another. He should fire his agent.

Terrible situation. Honestly, if this doesn't pan out and he doesn't get any offers from any other NBA teams this off season ... It's time to go to Europe.
All the playing time he could want and more money and live overseas for a while.

I wouldn't necessarily call the Spurs organization inept? I don't want to kick a man while he's down, but I usually trust Pop on player evaluation. Maybe Jimmer wasn't willing to adapt to that system? Just speculation. I haven't read much about why he was released by the Spurs, but seeing as the rest of the teams he has played for are more or less inept, I think the details behind his exit in San Antonio give us the best clues as to if there are any issues with Jimmer, or just the organizations picking him up... Anyone have any decent information on that?
