Hometeaching, Boy Scouts, BYU Athletics?

Post by snoscythe »

Are BYU sports safe any more?

We're seeing the Church eliminate programs where the means have usurped the ends they were intended to serve.....does BYU football, basketball, and other athletic programs pass the test?

The others are being updated and replaced, not simply axed. Hopefully BYU football is updated with P5-level competence, spending, and winning.

I'm guessing there were a lot of programs that the Church wanted to roll out but needed a fairly cogent leader at the top to give the final approval. Let's face it, President Monson was in pretty poor shape the last several years of his tenure. I'm thinking there was a back log of decisions for these big initiatives built up during that time. And now that President Nelson is in charge, those decisions are now being made and things are happening at what seems like a break-neck pace, but it's really a release of that backlog.
