Hey, I think I saw Tom with that same pair!snoscythe wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 3:57 pmCould I interest you in our rose-colored-blinders-on "Derik Stevenson + Kalani Sitake" model?CrimsonCoug wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 2:54 pmThat's not a very blue-goggled outlook of me. I should change my icon.

I'll take 'em! It'll free up my hands from the constant face-palm / finger peek as I watch what is happening to our once-proud program.
Thanks for looking out for us, Sno.

Totally not trying to troll, here: What do you see as Sitake's strengths? My disappointment may have blindered me to some positive aspects. I do see that he seems like a good man who genuinely cares about people.crazycougar84601 wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 4:52 pm i can see his strengths and i am behind him as a fan. I hope he cleans up the locker room and gets these guys where they need to be. GO COUGARS!

I'm not speaking for crazycougar84601, but from my perspective these are some of his strengths:CrimsonCoug wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 10:25 amTotally not trying to troll, here: What do you see as Sitake's strengths? Kalani is anti-Bronco. All of the people skills, none of the leadership skills.

Eh...we get 6 wins or 11 wins and we go to the same stupid bowl. I don't care.
If beat Utah and lose the rest of our games, that's fine by me. I don't really care about going to a no-name bowl and playing a 5th place Pac12 team.

These are the strengths I was referring too. He loved LaVell, loves BYU and is a fantastic people person. We all hoped that it would translate to better recruiting and thus more wins. My fear was that he was too inexperienced as a coach to get wins via Xs and Os. I hope Grimes gives us a better chance. Also really concerned about "cronyism" hires and sticking up for guys who probably need a good chewing.hawkwing wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 11:06 amI'm not speaking for crazycougar84601, but from my perspective these are some of his strengths:CrimsonCoug wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 10:25 amTotally not trying to troll, here: What do you see as Sitake's strengths? I think the bronco comment is right on. Kalani lacks leadership skills. Could you imagine a mix of bronco and kalani? A Bronco Sitaki or a Kalani Mendenhall? We would be unstoppable!

I would have liked to see them coach together. KS should have been an assistant but they would not pay the money to do it.

So very true. If only we could combine the two together into one!
