“Long term, this year has been fun, but I wouldn’t want it to be the new normal,” said Chad Cluff, a fan from Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Not sure that Chad guy knows what he's talking about... 😉

The article and Jarom do have a point. I think a half dozen P5s every year pretty much all front loaded isn't doing BYU many favors. I know we are trying to woo P5 conference and playing and beating P5s seems like that ought to do the trick, but maybe Holmoe should rethink that strategy. Either that or spend more money.

Yeah, schedule just enough P5s to make the schedule "respectable" alongside teams like BSU and AAC-level opponents, so maybe 3-4 with at most two in a row.

Then in a "bad" year you can win 7-8 and in an undefeated year have something of a claim.

That Chad guy sounds smart. He must read Cougar Corner to supplement his great football knowledge.

The article did say BYU fans are rather knowledgeable.

All true, and I do actually have another article that was posted on USA Today a few years ago that does talk about CougarCorner.

National press is only interested in interviewing celebrities, apparently.
