Don't look now,

Post by E-Zone15 »

but BYU has had a different leading score in the last 6 straight game and in the last 5 the leading scorer had at least 19 points.
@LMU- Matt Haarms 21 points
@Pacific- Caleb Lohner 19 points
Gonzaga- Alex Barcello 20 points
@Portland- Gideon George 19 points
Pacific- Brandon Averette 24 points
@Pepperdine- Spencer Johnson 15 points

Caleb Lohner's scoring in the last 6 games: @LMU 18 points, @Pacific 19 points, Gonzaga 9 points, @Portland 11 points, Pacific 4 points, @Pepperdine 11 points = average 12.0 points

How tournament-ready is this BYU basketball team?

I sure would love to have Alex Barcello tor one more season, all 3 would be great... But Alex has been huge this year in games like Utah where he didn't score alot he ended up with like 8 assists. Runor is that he is really thinking about the bonus year (his little sister will be a true freshman at BYU next year).

Anyone notice than Richard Harward has score 7 double digit scoring games this year without starting...

Harward is a beast. If we didn't have Haarms, we would be plenty happy with Harward at center.

Kolby Lee has all but disappeared. Feel bad for the guy, but what a luxury we have right now. We have three solid centers.

Harward, I suspect, will start next season. Between Baxter, Lee, and Harward, we'll be set at center next season. Pope should work to get another freshman so we have someone in the wings after Harward, Lee, and Baxter all exit. Those three could all be gone next season.

Next year will be interesting, I see Lee backing up Harward, Baxter at the 4 (Baxter is really more of a 4 than 5) with likely Lohner starting at the 3. If Barcello or Averette does not take the bonus year there is a good chance Harding and Wade could be running the point. Could be a pretty tall starting line up with something like: 1 Harding, 2 Johnson, 3 Lohner, 4 Baxter, and 5 Harward. Would love to see Atiki Ally Atiki be able to take a red-shirt next year.
