Because he doesn't know enough about the playbook because he only has had half the snaps. Doesn't feel comfortable audibling.

She asked if we needed to open up our offensive play book AND he totally agreed.

Couldn't really tell if he was upset with the play calling or not.
Oh he was upset. He looked like he was chewing on rocks.

He pretty much all but said "The defense is doing the best they can against the short fields that the offense is giving TCU"
No doubt he was not pleased when asked about the offense.

That play right there! That play action pass to Mahina that Heaps just threw. I know it was incomplete...but THAT right there was the best Heaps looked all game. THAT is the style of play he needs to be let allowed to play. That play was quick, and it looked fantastic.

The throw was a bit off of course, but I still like it. Heaps looked good on that.

Where is Heaps' accuracy? On the rare occasion when we have a decent play and the receiver gets open Heaps is off target.

Then again if he was on target it would be dropped so it doesn't really matter.

Worst offense in the history of BYU. We won't get 5 first downs this game and we won't top 100 yards of total offense.

3 long passes, 3 bad throws. Anyone wonder why Anae doesn't call for long throws yet?

On that pass to Mahina, Mahina made the wrong read-Heaps didn't make a bad throw. Was actually perfect for where Mahina should have been. That inside defender dictates that that pass needs to go to the outside.

That was my gut reaction, but wasn't sure if it was just me.
