They already had plenty of guards and only one open spot. Not one thing was said about Jimmer not playing well, being a good teammate, adapting to the system, etc. It wasn't a roster spot he was cut from, it was essentially a tryout to see if anyone could take the roster spot from the favorite.

That completely answers my question! Thanks for that info, like I said, I didnt have much info on his time with the spurs
