Re: Dead Girlfriend Hoax--Once again a T'eo Story Falls Apar
After having to listen to my friends refer to any poorly thrown ball as a "byu throw" for the entire year (thanks, Riley), I am SO glad Manti is not assosciated with the cougars.
Either this is the greatest catfish story of all time, or I don't even know what to say about what kind of person Manti is.

I suspect two things:
1) The whole thing was cooked up by Teo and the other guy Deadspin mentions.
or
2) Teo really fell victim to a hoax, but to avoid embarassment over having an "online" relationship he made up the parts about seeing her in-person.
Either way, Teo lied.

Re: Dead Girlfriend Hoax--Once again a T'eo Story Falls Apar
The growing consensus on non-BYU and non-ND boards seems to be that T'eo is gay and that an imaginary girlfriend was easier than coming out of the closet. This is why T'eo needs to follow the example of Andy Pettite, man up and admit it (the lie, not the gay) before it completely buries him.

I'm assuming from your username that you're in Kansas Jayhawk country. You'll get the last laugh next year when it comes to poor throws.JayhawkCoug wrote:After having to listen to my friends refer to any poorly thrown ball as a "byu throw" for the entire year (thanks, Riley).
I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

Oprah Winfrey furiously working on booking Manti Teo for her next show.
Maybe he was trying to tackle his imaginary girlfriend in the national championship game... or at bare minimum, still hung over from his BYU recruiting trip.

Interesting... Could it be possible he was actually telling the truth?

There is no question he lied, the only question is when and how often.BoiseBYU wrote:Then why did papa Teo said they visited each other in HI?hypercoug wrote:Interesting... Could it be possible he was actually telling the truth?
