YES!!! I LOVE what I saw in this game! That power run game was brutal. Magnum was inconsistent with a few really good throws and some bad misses, but having a good run game will help massively.

Defense is pretty much what it has been. Poor pass and 3rd down defense, good against the run.

All I really wanted to see this game was to have our guys play hard and be competitive. I honestly didn't even care if we lost as long as they looked better than last year, so they already exceeded that.

Compare tonight to last year’s Portland State! Night and day. Night and day. A very fine win.

Arizona helped us out a lot with their abysmal play calling. The defense did a great job of taking advantage of it and ensuring the all or nothing plays were resulting in nothing.

The offense was totally impressive for an o-coordinator in his first game. Mangum has still got a ways to go, but there is hope.

This game was won in the trenches.

Great game for BYU. Have a lot to build on, have some things to work on. I liked what I saw from the o-line. Should give Tanner confidence to do his thing without running for his life all game.

I wrote in another thread that BYU would win 30-21. I was close enough that I now give myself a pat on the back. Go, Cougars.

That is one of the draw backs of throwing when you should run. QB can miss, receivers can drop balls. Balls get tipped into the defenses hands. Anyway, I just felt that if you were planning on going for it on 4th, why throw twice, 2 runs and we definitely get a first.

Much respect to AZ who is a quality opponent. I am kinda amazed at the total game effort here. Zero turnovers either team also. I think Arizona will have a great year @azgreg

BYU looked much sharper than Utah did against Weber. BYU's offense had no turnovers and no sacks. The offensive line did their job and protected the QB and run blocked really well. The defense was good as usual.

I missed my KSL pickum by 1 point I predicted BYU would win 28-24 and BYU won 28-23. Dadgum BYU stopped the 2 pt. conversion. LOL
