Maybe we should put a TCU helmet on OUR equipment

I was worried about this game all week based on the lack of determination and passion coming from the team ("this isn't a revenge game," "we don't post quotes on the board," "we don't need to prepare any different," "these are pretty much the same teams as last year; it's just about execution"). I love Bronco Mendenhall in so many ways, but his record in big games speaks for itself. Same goes for Max Hall. I was so excited when he was a sophomore, but the sad reality is he has gotten worse every year. As a junior and senior he has lost every big game except Oklahoma, and many of them have been blowouts.
Sure, we need better athleticism, but tell me this: How did Air Force play TCU to a 3-point game? Total grit, passion, heart, and execution of a solid game plan. If we lose we lose, but it's very disappointing when we just embarrass ourselves like we did tonight. Detmer got beat, but never like this. It took two separated shoulders to blow one of his teams out.
On a positive note, Harvey Unga played his guts out and I hope he comes back next year.
